Private Pilot License

This course requires no previous experience. It typically lasts from 4 to 12 weeks when the student is working full-time, otherwise it can take up to a year. Training takes place on our small aircraft.

Practical training 

International regulations stipulate a minimum of 45 hours flight training. Typically, this includes 30 hours of dual flight and 15 hours of solo flight. You'll also have to complete one navigation flight with your instructor and 5 hours of instrument flying. During your solo flights, you'll complete 5 hours of navigation, including a triangular route of 150 nautical miles with 2 stops.

Obtaining the license

To obtain your commercial pilot's license (with ME and IFR ratings), you must have accumulated a minimum of 200 flight hours (including the private pilot's license), including 100 solo hours, passed 3 theory exams and passed 4 flight tests. The practical test is taken by appointment with a state-approved examiner. It consists of a flight lasting around 2 hours, during which you must demonstrate a sufficient level of aptitude and safety to be able to take passengers. When you are ready, the school will present you for the final exam.
